لقد عملنا بجد، لكننا لم نتأهل…
لقد صنعنا شخصية قوية للفريق، ووضعنا أسسًا راسخة للمجموعة…
تجاوزنا صعوبات كبيرة، وتمكّنا من تكوين فريق يضم 40 لاعبًا…
كنا في أقوى مجموعة، ولم نغادر المركز الثاني إلا في المباراة الأخيرة…
خرجنا من المنافسة بأساليب غير رياضية…
لكن يكفينا أننا كنّا الفريق الذي يخشاه الجميع…
اختيارنا للاعبين كان يعتمد على الرغبة، الثقة، الصبر، والدوافع…
أما اللاعبون الكبار، فقد كانوا مثالًا للقوة والطاقة المتدفقة…
واللاعبون الشباب جسّدوا الانضباط، التماسك، والالتزام…
من خرج عن النص، أبعدناه، ومن بقي معنا كان قرارنا…
أما الخطأ الوحيد، فكان مجاملة شخص ما، ودفعنا ثمن ذلك غاليًا…
علامات النجاح تجلّت في كثرة الحديث عنا…
انتقدونا بسوء، لكننا تجاهلناهم لأنهم مجرد هواة، ولو كنا مثلهم لانهزمنا وفقًا لمخططاتهم…
والأغرب من ذلك أن المدربين، الإداريين، الجماهير، ووسائل الإعلام كانوا أحرارًا من انتماءاتهم، لكنهم اصطفّوا ضدنا بحقد وحسد، وهذه علامة على تميّزنا…
أخيرًا…
نرفع القبعات للرجل الهميم، الفخيم، الشجاع، الثابت، (أبو العائلة)، السكرتير، ومقرر لجنة الإسناد، الرئيس الحسن أبو شوك، ونقول له: “الله ما أراد”…
