الريال يغربل أوساسونا أربع مرات في عقر داره ويبتعد بصدارة الليغا

Real Madrid made the least effort and defeated Osasuna by four goals to two, and manager Carlo Ancelotti achieved his 200th victory in the Spanish League.

An end-to-end first half saw Vinicius Junior’s early goal quickly canceled out by Ante Budimir, before Dani Carvajal re-established Madrid’s lead heading into the break.

Brahim Diaz and Vinicius were both on target in the second half to kill the game, although Iker Munoz fired a stoppage time consolation.

How did the game unfold?

Osasuna started the game with real energy and positivity but their efforts were undone after just three minutes when Alejandro Catena was caught in possession by Vinicius. The Brazilian raced to goal and comfortably slotted into the bottom corner to put Madrid ahead.

However, Madrid’s lead would last only three more minutes. Budimir drove home the back post after the corner, shooting through Carvajal’s legs to tie things up.

Vinicius was denied a one-on-one straight away after Madrid began to find their groove and the second goal came from an unlikely source from Carvajal. The right-back ghosted towards Federico Valverde’s cross and crossed Sergio Herrera.

Osasuna had the odd sight of Madrid’s goal but found long spells of possession difficult to come by, with Ancelotti’s side clinging to the ball and sucking energy from the hosts.

Vinicius and Valverde both faded wide, while Andriy Lunin’s gloves were left stinging after ferocious strikes from Jose Arnaiz and Lucas Toro shortly before the interval.

The tempo dropped at the start of the second half as a series of troubling fouls contributed to an increasingly feisty atmosphere, but Madrid would eventually get a third as Brahim wandered into the heart of the pitch unopposed, running nearly half the field before calmly slotting his way into the bottom corner.

The fourth came four minutes later as Vinicius gathered Valverde’s heart and went to race into the penalty area, dining around the goalkeeper and putting enough pace on the ball to press it over the line.

With time ticking down, Lucas Vazquez had a goal ruled out offside, and Osasuna gave the impressive home fans something to smile about on the trip home as Munoz fired through Lunin’s legs into the dying embers.

The game almost ended in an obscene highlight as Arda Guler looked to catch Herrera out from the halfway line, but the Turkish teenager’s bold strike came back off the crossbar in the final act of the game.
