ذكّرتني محاولات تلميع قائد درع السودان”، أبوالعاقلة كيكل، بنكتة طريفة ارتبطت بالفنان الراحل محمد الأمين والفنان الإنسان الرقيق مجذوب أونسة. يُحكى أن مجذوب أونسة استقبل مولودًا ذكرًا، وكان غارقًا في سعادته كعادته، حتى إنه جال أروقة نادي اتحاد الفنانين مبشرًا زملاءه بالخبر. وبينما كان في إحدى التجمعات، صادف الفنان محمد الأمين في بوفيه النادي، فأسرع إليه قائلاً: “استقبلت مولودًا!”، فما كان من الراحل محمد الأمين، المعروف بسرعة بديهته، إلا أن رد عليه بكلمة واحدة حافلة بالمعنى: “تاني؟!”
نحن اليوم، أمام مشهد لا يختلف كثيرًا. هل حقًا نحتاج إلى “تاني”؟ هل نعيد إنتاج حميدتي آخر، ونسلم البلاد مجددًا إلى مغامرات عسكرية مدمرة؟ لقد ذاق الشعب السوداني مرارة قرار خاطئ سابق، جنى فيه الويلات، وحُرم من أبسط حقوقه، ولم ينجُ من سطوة السلطة في الاعتراض على ذلك أحد، حتى الراحل الإمام الصادق المهدي، الذي اعتُقل لمجرد التعبير عن موقفه، ومولانا أحمد هارون الذي أُجبر لاحقًا على الاعتذار إلى حميدتي بعد خلافهما الشهير.
الخلاصة: كفى أخطاءً! آن الأوان أن يتعلم القادة أن الشعب السوداني لا ينبغي أن يُلدغ من الجحر ذاته مرتين. الوطن أكبر من الأفراد، وأسمى من نزوات العسكريين. لا مستقبل لسودانٍ حرّ ومستقر إلا بجيش واحد ، وعدالة تُطبق على الجميع دون استثناء
“Enough mistakes… Don’t let the people be bitten twice.”
The recent attempts to whitewash the image of the so-called “Sudan Shield” leader, Abul Aaqla Kikil, reminded me of a famous anecdote involving the late artist Mohamed El Amin and the kindhearted, gentle singer Magzoub Onsa. It is said that Onsa once welcomed the birth of a baby boy, and, overwhelmed with joy as usual, he went around the Artists’ Union Club announcing the happy news to his fellow artists. During one of these gatherings, he ran into Mohamed El Amin at the club’s buffet and eagerly told him, “I just had a baby boy!” El Amin, known for his sharp wit and quick sense of humor, responded with a single loaded word: “Again?”
Today, we find ourselves in a disturbingly similar situation. Do we really need another “again”? Are we about to reproduce another Hemeti, handing the country over once more to destructive military adventurism? The Sudanese people have already suffered the bitter consequences of a disastrous decision that left them stripped of their rights and at the mercy of military rule. No one was spared — not even the late Imam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, who was imprisoned for simply voicing his opinion, or Maulana Ahmed Haroun, who was later forced to apologize to Hemeti after their infamous dispute.
The bottom line is this: Enough mistakes! It’s time for Sudan’s leaders to learn that the people must not be deceived twice. The nation is far greater than individuals and loftier than the whims of generals. There can be no future for a free, stable Sudan without a unified national army and justice applied equally to all — without exception.
