*Leaks Reveal: Washington Adopts “The Secession Path” as a Tool to Address the Crisis.. And Red Sea and Horn of Africa Security at the Heart of the Equation*
*Field Leaks: Decisive Northern Rejection of Returning to “Old Sudan”.. And the Rift Has Reached the Point of No Return*
Confirmed leaks from US Senator Bernie Sanders revealed that the American administration has given the final green light to move forward with the “Conciliation Path” project regarding the right to self-determination and secession in Sudan.
According to the leaks, this path is being implemented with direct and explicit support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt, within a broad regional understanding that includes the active parties within the circles managing the current reality in the de facto government in Khartoum.
The leaks confirmed that the project is no longer merely an academic proposal or a discussion paper, but has in fact moved to advanced and decisive stages inside the rooms where American decision-making takes place, where it is being dealt with as a practical option on the table.
The leaks clarified that the main driver behind Washington’s adoption of this path stems from major strategic calculations directly linked to American national security in the region.
Washington views achieving stability in the Horn of Africa region and securing navigation along the Red Sea coasts as a top priority that cannot be postponed, in light of changing international balances and escalating threats.
From this standpoint, the secession project is being dealt with as a geopolitical tool to re-engineer the political map in Sudan, producing an environment that is more manageable and more capable of protecting American interests and the interests of its regional allies.
According to the leaks, the initiative has crossed the threshold of theoretical discussion to become a fixed item in the deliberations of political and security institutions within the American administration, in a clear indicator of a radical shift in the international and regional approach to dealing with the Sudanese crisis. The gateway of “the will of the peoples” and “the right to self-determination” is now being tested as an entry point to dismantle the current state of deadlock through radical solutions that do not bet on repair.
Field leaks confirmed that all popular sectors in the regions of northern Sudan express a decisive and categorical rejection of establishing any state or political entity on the basis of “Old Sudan” that existed before the war.
The leaks indicated that the societal rift and cultural divergence between the components of society between western and northern Sudan have deepened and reached the point of no return, and have reached unprecedented levels of tension and severance.
In light of this reality, the option of coexistence according to the previous model becomes impossible from both the practical and popular perspectives, as the ground on which that model was based has lost any legitimacy or acceptance.
These leaks come at a moment of extreme sensitivity and precision, coinciding with escalating international and regional pressures in search of a radical political exit for the Sudanese crisis.
In contrast, the Sudanese domestic scene, according to what the leaks reported, appears torn between two paths: new negotiation tracks that are receiving accelerating regional and international backing, and a firm popular will that rejects any return to the past and demands a redefinition of the political contract from zero and nothing else…..
